Dr. Harald Dossi
"The Parliamentary Administration is trying to reduce its CO2 emissions by implementing the EMAS environmental management system and by renovating buildings in accordance with klimaaktiv gold. A large part of the CO2 emissions are caused by air travel. Climate Austria offers the possibility of offsetting these emissions through quality-assured Austrian climate protection projects. In this way, the Parliamentary Administration is meeting its goal of becoming a climate-neutral administration by 2040.
Leonore Gewessler, BA
"The Austrian government's goal is to be climate neutral by 2040. To achieve this, we have to avoid and reduce emissions and - as a final step - offset unavoidable emissions. For those activities that continue to cause emissions, Climate Austria has developed as an excellent offsetting partner - both for private individuals and companies. With the Climate Austria initiative, climate-damaging emissions are offset in the best possible way. I am pleased that the highest standards are applied not only to the nationally funded climate protection projects, but also to the international projects. Projects to reduce emissions in the areas of electricity, space heating and hot water as well as mobility are thus initiated worldwide."
Peter Stallberger
"As Austria's largest mill, climate protection is a central concern for us. The supply of domestic grain needs healthy soils, biodiversity and a balanced climate here in Austria. With our measures, we want to raise awareness for sustainability in food production and initiate the gradual change to a 100% climate-friendly way of doing business. In addition to the switch to green electricity, energy efficiency measures and the zero-waste principle for food, the compensation of CO2 emissions is an important building block."
Andrea Herrmann
"The capital market can make a decisive contribution on the way to a CO2 neutral future. By supporting climate protection projects and cooperating with Climate Austria, the Vienna Stock Exchange as the central infrastructure of the Austrian capital market also contributes to the green transformation."
Andreas Gasteiger
